How is the Convenience Fee calculated?
The Convenience Fee is calculated based on the amount added to the Boost Wallet via credit card. If the Convenience Fee calculated has more than 2 decimal places, the following rounding rule applies:
1. If the third decimal is 5 or more, the amount is rounded up; and
2. If the third decimal is 4 or less, the amount is rounded down (i.e. the second decimal remains the same).
Please refer to the examples below for clarification.
Example:
User A has added RM500 to their Boost Wallet via credit card. They will incur a Convenience Fee of RM3.75 (RM500 * 0.75%).
User B has added RM1,200 to their Boost Wallet via credit card in Month 1 and RM500 in Month 2. In Month 1, they will incur a Convenience Fee of RM9 (RM1,200 * 0.75%). In Month 2, they will incur a Convenience Fee of RM3.75 (RM500 * 0.75%).
User C has added RM333 to their Boost Wallet via credit card. They will incur a Convenience Fee of RM2.50 (rounded up) (RM333 * 0.75% = RM2.4975).
User D has added RM255 to their Boost Wallet via credit card. They will incur a Convenience Fee of RM1.91 (rounded down) (RM255 * 0.75% = RM1.9125).
